Destin - Things to Do |
Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach FL
Panama City Beach has been recognized by the Travel Channel, Southern Living Magazine and Dr. Beach as a top US beach destination for its emerald green and sapphire blue waters and sugary white sand. The soft sand is actually quartz crystals, broken down, bleached, polished and deposited on the shoreline by the wave action. Located at the east end of Panama City Beach, St. Andrews State Park is one of the most popular outdoor recreation spots in Florida, a 1,260-acre park with thick forests, sand dunes covered with sea oats, fresh and saltwater marshes, a lagoon swimming area, fishing jetties, hiking trails, 1.5 miles of beach and two campgrounds.
